We proudly present our remarkable achievement, Durango Station, a hotel and casino project located in the vibrant Rhodes Ranch community of the Las Vegas Valley. This visionary development embodies the spirit of entertainment and hospitality, offering an unparalleled experience for visitors and residents alike. Durango Station, spanning a sprawling area along Durango Drive, adjacent to the Las Vegas Beltway, is a testament to our expertise in constructing grand and captivating destinations. The project's scale and complexity have required meticulous planning and skilled execution, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and design. As a leading construction company, we have successfully built an impressive 83,178 sq ft (7,727.5 m2) casino and a 15-story tower boasting 211 well-appointed rooms. UNLV Medical Education Building
The Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building (MEB) at UNLV stands as a testament to visionary design and academic excellence. As the school's first permanent structure and centerpiece of the Las Vegas Medical District, the MEB offers a groundbreaking 135,000-square-foot, five-story facility, meticulously crafted with state-of-the-art design, cutting-edge technology, and environmental advancements. The groundbreaking for the MEB commenced on October 29, 2020, and just two years later, the construction was completed, even under budget, showcasing the exceptional efficiency and dedication to meeting project timelines. From inception to completion, this state-of-the-art educational facility epitomizes a remarkable journey of collaboration and innovation, reflecting the future of academic health and positioning UNLV at the forefront of medical education and research.

M.J. Dean undertook the Circus-Circus Roller Coaster Replacement project, a significant endeavor aimed at revitalizing this iconic Las Vegas attraction. Our expert team skillfully constructed a cutting-edge roller coaster, incorporating state-of-the-art technology and safety measures. The replacement was driven by a commitment to provide guests with an exhilarating and safe ride experience while rejuvenating the amusement offerings at Circus-Circus. Our team expertly managed the intricate process of pouring and forming concrete structures, laying the groundwork for the creation of a vibrant urban hub. Project LINQ aimed to redefine the Las Vegas Strip, introducing a dynamic blend of entertainment, hospitality, and retail spaces that would captivate visitors and residents alike. Mob Exhibition Tropicana Hotel & Casino
M.J. Dean led the construction of the Mob Exhibition at Tropicana Hotel & Casino, an immersive endeavor that brilliantly captures the enigmatic history of organized crime in Las Vegas. This 27,000 square-foot, high-tech experience goes beyond a conventional museum, immersing visitors in the world of the mob's Sin City legacy. Upon entry, visitors are assigned character names and guided by live actors and hologram versions of famous faces like James Caan and Mickey Rourke. From the back alleys of New York to the back rooms of Vegas casinos, the experience is rich with interactive displays and live interactions, offering an insightful journey through the mob's influence. Visitors' decisions as their assigned characters impact their fate, whether they become "made," get arrested, or even "whacked." With over 1,000 authentic artifacts and cutting-edge interactive technology, the Mob Exhibition masterfully combines entertainment and education. This immersive attraction not only showcases the mob's artifacts like Bugsy's Packard and Lucky's desk, but it engages visitors in a personal narrative, enabling them to delve into the stories that shaped Las Vegas' intriguing past.

Marriott’s Grand Chateau
The Marriott’s Grand Chateau is a multi-phase project consisting of four 38-story, cast-in-place concrete towers, enclosed in EIFS and glass and supported by drilled caisson foundations. Each tower will contain 224 timeshare villas, which range from one to three bedrooms in size. Designed by MBA Reno Architecture and Interior Design, the theme is meant to evoke the casual elegance reminiscent of the Old Work mansions in southern France. Phase 1 has 540,000 sq. ft. and features an elegant lobby adorned with tapestries, art work, stone flooring and a water fountain; a three level parking garage with full-time valet services and a pool/spa and bar on the 38th floor, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The 370 ft. tower is serviced by four high-speed elevators and one maintenance elevator, and is cooled by two 550 ton chillers. The building required 22,500 cu. yds. of concrete and 2,500 tons of reinforcing steel. Phase 2 has 485,000 sq. ft. and features a three-level parking garage with full-time valet services and a 44,000 sq. ft. Sales Center on the 36th and 37th floors. Phase 2 added two additional high-speed elevators and one additional maintenance elevator for the 370 ft. towers. This phase required 17,800 cu. yds. of concrete and 1,600 tons of reinforcing steel. M.J. Dean was the general contractor and also self performed all concrete work, metal stud framing, drywall, and painting.

Fix Restaurant
M.J. Dean undertook the remarkable project of constructing FIX Restaurant in Las Vegas, a culinary gem known for its exceptional dining experience. Our expert team meticulously crafted this contemporary restaurant, creating a modern and inviting ambiance that complements the exquisite menu curated by the chef. FIX Restaurant was built to provide locals and tourists alike with an unparalleled gastronomic journey, offering a delectable array of dishes made from the finest ingredients. This cutting-edge environment elevates simply prepared, all-American fare, allowing guests to feast on fish, meat, and poultry – prepared to their exacting specifications. The restaurant's space, constructed almost entirely of Costa Rican Padouk wood, has been designed by Graft of Berlin to create a vibrant environment with a unique design. The successful completion of FIX Restaurant stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality spaces, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience for every guest in the vibrant city of Las Vegas.

Vanity Nightclub Hard Rock
At the forefront of the Hard Rock Hotel's Vanity Nightclub project, M.J. Dean Construction played a pivotal role in reshaping the nightlife scene in Las Vegas. Our skilled team meticulously brought to life this dynamic entertainment venue, harmoniously merging sophisticated design nuances, cutting-edge audiovisual technology, and top-tier artisanal craftsmanship. Vanity Nightclub was conceived to provide guests with an extraordinary nightlife adventure, boasting lavish interiors, an innovative sound system, and an electric atmosphere. The project aimed to position Vanity as the ultimate nightlife destination, catering to the city's dynamic entertainment milieu. M.J. Dean's unwavering commitment to construction excellence infused Vanity Nightclub with opulence and excitement, solidifying its place as a quintessential symbol of luxury within Las Vegas' vibrant nightlife panorama.

The Joint Hard Rock
"The Joint" at Hard Rock is an exceptional entertainment venue, purpose-built to host electrifying live performances, concerts, and events. This state-of-the-art concert hall boasts cutting-edge acoustics, lighting, and sound systems, providing an intimate yet electrifying atmosphere for thousands of enthusiastic fans. With a vision to elevate the concert experience, "The Joint" offers a platform for artists to connect deeply with their audiences, solidifying Hard Rock's position as a premier entertainment destination. Its innovative design and immersive setting continue to inspire and entertain audiences, making it an iconic space in the world of live music and unforgettable experiences.
2009
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
M.J. Dean has worked with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on previous projects, including the addition of an 11-story tower and pool expansion completed in May 1999; and a tower remodel completed in August 2002. But most recently M.J. Dean has been called back to be general contractor for a massive expansion that will more than double the size of the current property. The new Hard Rock project is designed by Klai Juba Architects and entails the new construction of a 198 ft. tall, 17-story north or “Paradise Tower” that is a 443,877 sq. ft., cast-in-place concrete structure; and a 163 ft. tall, 15-story south or “HRH Tower” that is a 447,997 sq. ft., cast-in-place concrete structure. The Paradise Tower features 479 guest rooms and 11 suites, with a sky-blue glass curtain wall skin and views overlooking the pool area. The HRH Tower also features the same sky-blue glazing exterior and views of the pool, with 374 suites that average 700 sq. ft. each, eight two-story poolside villas, a second level spa and salon, club and club lounge. The pool area will see an expansion of 2.3 acres, with the addition of four pools, including a swim-up gaming pool and clear-bottom dish pool. There are also plans to add an outdoor stage for poolside concerts with a 4,000-person capacity. Additional elements of the project include an expanded casino gaming area, parking garage, 60,000 sq. ft. of convention/meeting space, restaurants, nightclubs, spa and fitness facility, and retail space. M.J. Dean was the general contractor and also self performed all concrete work, metal stud framing, drywall, painting and EIFS.
